Good carbs vs Bad carbs

               Before comparing both types of carbs, let us know, what are carbs?  

     Carbs or Carbohydrate is nutrient which we consume in our daily life. almost our every meal contains high amount of  carbohydrates. every particular person needs carbohydrates in his daily meals to perform any activity. 1 gram of carbohydrate contains 4 calories.




  What is the role of carbohydrate in human body
       Carbohydrate has important role in human's daily life. it provides energy do various different activities. usually our body breaks down carbohydrates into glucose that provides energy to our body to do any work. when we consume carbohydrate in high amount regularly our body starts converting that glucose into fat which is stores under our skin, which causes the problem of obesity. 

   let us discuss about good carbs and bad carbs 
There are two types of carbohydrates :-
 1. simple carbohydrates (bad carbs)
 2. complex carbohydrates (good carbs)

    ★ Reason why simple carbs is considered as bad and complex carbs as good :-
  
     1. Simple carbs - They refined and processed as they are not rich in fiber, vitamin and mineral. they are quickly digestible and high in glycemic index, that's the reason it rises blood sugar level and insulin level in our body, which can cause health problems later such as diabetes and blood pressure. here are some example of simple carbs - white rice, white bread, white flour, cold drinks etc.
 
     
    2. Complex carbs - when we talk about Complex carbs, they are not refined and processed as they have much fiber, vitamins and minerals content, which is healthy for our digestion. they are slowly digestible and low in glycemic index, that's the reason it provides sustainable energy. here are some example of complex carbs - brown rice, brown bread,
 whole grains, beans, oats etc.


 
   These are the main reason why complex carbs are better than simple carbs. that was the comparison between simple and complex carbs.
